Swapping Advertising: A great way to get your product information out to people is by using links, banner ads, coupons, and swapping articles. If you’re in the home renovation business you can trade articles with other businesses such as painters and electricians. In fact, you can trade articles with anyone in your chosen industry that isn’t in direct competition with you. Extra content on your website will give you more credibility while having your articles on other websites will lend your company a position of authority.

Word of Mouth Marketing

The second most common way that people find new websites is word of mouth. Search engines are the number one way. Word of mouth can be generated from message board postings by virtual strangers or by e-mailing friends. Effective word of mouth is known as “viral marketing” and is one of the biggest success stories on the Internet.

Viral marketing works in much the same way urban legends and funny jokes on the Internet work as they are forwarded all around the world. Viral marketing takes advantage of the socialization needs of society. No matter how small the social network starts out as, effective viral

The Evolution Of The Cornhole Game

Published under Recreation by writer. No Comments .

Chances are, if you’ve been to the midwest then you’ve heard of this game called cornhole. It’s the sport that has been growing like crazy all over the country, even the world. Never before has such a simple game been attractive to so many people. And to top everything off, all you need is some real basic equipment. Two boards, 8 bags, and you are set to go. But what is responsible for the surge in growth of the game? We’ll take a quick look and try to figure that out.

cornhole has been around for decades, but only really started to gain traction over the past few years. It’s been rumored to have been started by some farmers who had some spare corn and some spare time. Later, a child version of the game called bean bags was introduced and for years it was known as a kids game. Around the late 90’s, midwestern cities started to see a pickup in this old game. Around that time, there was virtually nobody that sold the boards and bags so most people were left to fend for themselves by borrowing a friends set and copying the dimensions. You might be able to find someone to sew you some corn hole bags, but you better be prepared to pay a hefty fee for those. Starting in around 2003, cornhole dealers started to pop up online. Now the internet is littered with cornhole dealers, mostly mom and pop operations that want to capatilize on the growth in the sport.

So what should you look for when buying? Well online, trust is the most important thing when you are putting your credit card on the line. Do they have a phone number? If so, you might want to call it if you have any pre-sale questions. How quickly can they ship? A lot of dealers are doing this on the side so during the busy parts of the year they might be very swamped with orders. Packing a cornhole box is very time consuming so if they are relegated to nights and weekends, you could be waiting awhile for your set. And you always want to make sure that you are getting a warranty with the basg that you buy. A company that doesn’t stand behind your products is not a company that is worth doing business with.

So that’s it. Cornhole has come a long way!

water for fuel

Should you run your car on water? Well, I think the answer is yes. It will depend on your technical knowledge, the amount of time you have, and how much money you want to spend.

You should realize that running your car on water will save you tons of money on gas, not to mention give you pretty big IRS refunds. I have read all over the internet that you can halve your gas costs. Also, IRS refunds can be up to $1,000 for a single car.

If you have a lot of technical knowledge then you may find it interesting to convert your car to run on water. However, I am assuming that you DON’T have much technical knowledge. That’s OK. You can still do it, it will just be harder.

One of the most important factors is how much you want to spend. Fortunately, it doesn’t take much money to convert your car to run on water. You can do the whole thing for $200-300, which is not much at all when you think about how much you can save on gas over the years. Try getting a similar return on the stock market.

Most people are just motivated to convert their cars to run on water because it let’s you save heaps of money. If you feel like doing some paperwork then you can get some really big IRS refunds. And just imagine only paying *HALF* the amount you currently pay for gas. Would be nice, right?

I think the best thing about water fueled cars is that they are better for the environment. Sure, not everyone may care that much about this. But for the good of ALL of us I think that cutting back on global warming is something that we really need to do.

The Necessity Of Backup Data

Published under Computers by writer. No Comments .

In the world of business, having backup data for your files can literally make or break you. Computers are not infallible; they break down, obtain virus and in worst case scenarios, they crash. When this happens all of the valuable data that has been stored can be lost. And unless you already have a plan in place to recover deleted files, you could be faced with a huge problem. While some computer issues may not completely result in lost data, it is always best to be prepared.

Whether your business is a small operation or a larger, upscale enterprise, if it utilizes a computer system to store files, then there is a need to have backup data. Your company has no doubt spent several man hours, not to mention the money spent paying employees, working on the information that is contained in your files. These files can be lost in a matter of seconds when an unforeseen problem occurs. It should be of the utmost importance to make sure that the information in those files is protected. Fortunately, in this day and age there are several options available for data backup and recovery.

Technology has made it relatively easy for businesses to restore backed up data. Companies can utilize several options from CD-R’s, CD-RW’s and DVD’s to NAS and SAN Storage. NAS stands for network-attached storage, while SAN is for storage area network. NAS operates on data files and is a single storage system and SAN uses a local network of multiple devises operating on disk blocks. Having one or more backup resources can be extremely important to your business. The key is finding out which system will work best for your file system and computer set up.

No matter what system you use for Backup Information, the important thing is that you do something. Imagine working on various projects for months, only to lose all of the information in the blink of an eye. These situations are definitely unfortunate for all involved, but simply hoping that your system will always be up and running is not a good solution. If you are not sure which system would be best for your business, then try researching different types of backup services that are available. A lot will depend on the amount of files that will need to be backed up and of course on the system that you are running. Researching recovery services now will save you time and money if you are forced to look for a data recovery service later.

Heartburn And Gerd - How To Treat Heartburn/gerd

Published under Health by writer. No Comments .

So what is heartburn/GERD? In a nutshell, the two are a little different with heartburn affecting people in less severe ways than GERD. Heartburn is a condition which you’ll experience occasionally although there are those with frequent and chronic heartburn who do suffer it more regularly.

Heartburn/GERD is also known as gastroesophagel reflux disease and a more serious condition. When someone reaches this stage then they’ve got something thinking to do particularly if they haven’t sought medical assistance. A word of warning - by trying to go it alone and refusing to seek some medical help means Heartburn/GERD could even develop into a more serious condition, sometimes life threatening.

Avoiding Heartburn/GERD

There are some things you can do or be aware of to cut down the incidence of heartburn/GERD. For instance, avoid eating late at night. This is a point which is continually pushed home by experts yet people don’t seem to be getting the message.

One of the reasons for this is the refusal to make any lifestyle changes. Many are reluctant to compromise their current lifestyle habits and instead, will deal with heartburn when it affects them. This is not a sensible choice because making changes to one’s lifestyle is getting on the right track to eliminating Heartburn/GERD from their lives.

Laying down after a meal is another mistake. In fact, this relates to eating late at night which could even be as early as 7-8pm. Once a person has eaten, the general thing is to sit or lay in front of the TV but if you’re a heartburn/GERD sufferer then this is inviting another attack.

Another cause is diet which again relates to lifestyle. A diet high in fatty foods, dairy products, spicy foods, tomatoes products, and caffeine and citrus is a leading cause of frequent heartburn and GERD. Into days food the general eating habits contribute as well. Many people consume fast foods on the go and drink large amounts of caffeine and carbonated drinks.

Heartburn/GERD Diagnosis And Symptoms

Symptoms are recurrent heartburn, pain or discomfort with acid when lying down, frequently waking up with heartburn at night, coughing or choking feeling, difficulty swallowing, sour taste or stomach acid coming up in the mouth and throwing up blood. These symptoms require that you see your health care specialist for diagnosis and treatment.

If your doctor suspects that you may be suffering from heartburn/GERD they may recommend several different types of tests. A barium x-ray is a somewhat uncomfortable procedure that could help determine if there is heartburn/GERD as well as a test called the endoscopy where a lighted tube is inserted down the throat to examine the esophagus and stomach.

Smartlipo - 3 Times Better?

Published under Health by writer. No Comments .

Smart Lipo or SmartLipo as some people call it is a modern fat reducing operation that in many cases is set to replace normal Liposuction as the main method for removing fat tissue directly from the body. Smart Lipo is the most recent fat reducing surgical procedure to be approved by the FDA (on 9 November 2006). It’s already popular after only 18 months of approval. It looks set to continue to gain in popularity as more people discover its advantages.

This article will explain to you 3 key benefits of SmartLipo over the older forms of operative fat reduction like Liposuction.

A Small Surgical Incision

The laser lipolysis operation employs a narrow wand instrument, inserted beneath the skin. Therefore there is only the need for a small incision. Ultimately this means less trauma for you. Less trauma means less pain, and quicker recovery. Liposuction takes a larger surgical opening since a bigger hose-like instrument is pushed beneath the skin.

Less Bruising and Bleeding

SmartLipo uses a laser instrument and the force of the optical laser is what burns your fat away. It destroys fat cells - permanently in fact. This process is in contrast to lipo-suction where the process is more physical, involving suction. So this process is much more traumatic to the body and results in more bleeding and injury than you would observe with smart lipo.

Faster Recovery Duration

Liposuction requires at least an overnight bed stay in hospital. And then it can take several weeks for your body to adapt to the operation. During that period you’d usually have to wear pressure garments. Smart Lipo in contrast can be taken in your lunch break! You will not always need pressure garments though they will still be recommended in some cases.
