This Art Singapore Is Sg Art?

Published under Arts by writer. No Comments .

Art Singapore is being held in Singapore annually in October ever since the mid 2000s and is seen as the event to be in if you are dabbling with anything is related to art.

But personally, when compared with art shows in other places, I think art Singapore is not really significant.I see art Singapore as really just an art show that is being held in Singapore. My first thought about art Singapore is that it should focus on Singapore art and if Singapore is too small, perhaps art in South East Asia.

However, folks that have been to this Art Singapore event would know that that is not the case. You can even say that this is very much like a trade show that brings with it many vendors that are trying to sell their art works and other various pieces of art. I guess this is not unique to art Singapore but seriously, doing so loses the meaning of art.

Thinking aloud, I guess Art Hong Kong or art shows in many other places faces the same problem of becoming a “investment” show rather than a art event, but the situation is really obvious in Singapore.

I guess artist themselves needed to make a living and to get them to just display their art pieces would not be possible for them to sustain their lifestyle. But, shouldn’t art be something that should be appreciated.

Lets take the last art singapore show as an example, instead of art appreciation talk, you have art investment talk. And people that goes there, seems to look for art as a tool that would grow their wealth instead of their understanding of art.

The last thought that I have about art singapore is almost no exposure for local artist that is quite surprising to me. I cannot imagine how an event that is billed as the art event for Singapore be hosted without much Singapore artist participation, I guess maybe their works still cannot command too high a pricing?

Peace From Painting Landscapes Through The Seasons

Published under Arts by writer. No Comments .

In this day and age where valuable free time is so hard to come by, where do we find relaxation, peace or solitude from the frantic life of today with all it’s trials and tribulations. People use this time in different ways but I am certain that many opt for some sort of peace and tranquility.

As a contemporary artist that loves nature, I often head for the country to admire the wonderful landscapes, mountains, trees, lakes, flowers, birds etc. The effect they have on me is relaxing. The rare beauty of this stirs my emotions. Often I capture these emotions on camera, so that the memory remains with me.

The colours in the country are inspiring - whether in winter or summer. I love the starkness of winter when the trees are stripped bare, the first snows and of course the pattern that frost makes, be it on the window panes, cars, etc…. Perhaps the colours are at their Sunday best in the autumn.

Fascinating too are the tumbling leaves and falling twigs as they seem to dance like an Autumn Concerto. The reds, browns, golden yellow and the leaves partly disintegrated are really something together with the conkers falling at your feet.

I have spent an enjoyable time in County Kerry where the landscapes are naturally rugged which is amazing to the eye of a contemporary painter. If you head on towards Dingle the natural movement of the waterfalls at Muckross Pass takes your breath away. The early morning mists too are something to behold.

A variety of things capture peoples emotions, personally I am quite happy to browse along a deserted beach at any season of the year. Observe the birds, watch the sun refecting on the water, or the movement of the tide as it comes in and goes out. Or see children playing, running in and out of the water, erecting sandcastles, or dogs roaming free off the leash. One thing is for sure, maybe one of the finest things to capture is the early morning sunrise or the evening sunset in all its glory. This is beauty at it’s finest.

Spring as well, is an amazing season when you see the first fragile buds appearing on trees, hedges and bushes. Snowdrops and delicate Celandiles pushing their way up through the ground.
Easter on towards May brings the gorgeous array of nodding Bluebells which are abound in plenty of our local woods and forests mingling amongst the Buttercups and Ferns.

Then we are into the colourful explosion of summer. At this time the trees are ready to be appreciated. Flowers are in full bloom creating amazing displays which lift our spirits. Hues and patches of fragile tones which warm the spirit, to very bright and passionate colours which knock our socks off.

Skylines too are fantastic. The cloud formations are always interesting with their delicate and also very strong tints. Red skies are wonderful, relating to you that the next day is going to be golden.

Is it any wonder then people love painting Landscapes? You have all the inspiration you could possibly need. As you can see you are surrounded by subjects. Whether you capture them on camera first, or do them from memory. Pick up you pencil and seize the day!

Moving with Children the Easy Way: Get Free Moving Quotes

Published under Others by writer. No Comments .

It can be a complicated operation to move with small children. It can be very hard for children and be very stressful. You must give them time to get used to the new city. Changing schools and their network of friends can be difficult for most people, but it’s even more so for a child.

If their surroundings are familiar then school can be enjoyable for kids, but if they aren’t used to it worry can come from it. It’s wise to make efforts to ease their stress when entering with a new school. Buying them new supplies and clothing helps, but the most effective thing you can do is keep the lines of communication open so they can talk to you about their new classmate or anything else that’s hard about their school. Some kids struggle a lot when other kids do great in a new setting. Make an effort to think about your kid’s needs and make the appropriate response.

When assisting your child in adjusting a small amount of common sense will go a long way. Common sense also makes sense when you need to prepare for your relocation. In order to insure that you are ready for your relocation in the best way possible, it’s a good idea to make sure you pick a moving service that is a good deal. It’s easy to get moving quotes from many different companies and this can insure the ideal price point for you. Also, free moving quotes are usually offered and you should take advantage of them. This is advantageous to you because you can look and several moving companies before deciding on one.

If a standard moving service won’t travel as far as you need to, you can get a long distance moving quote from a cross country moving service. These companies are usually a lot more expensive because of the added cost of gas. Even though there is an added expense, this is still probably the best way to move cross country.

Additionally, it’s smart to use an planner so you can record all of the dates and times you need to remember for the relocation. This is a wonderful plan because it helps you stay on track and see everything in front of you. Being organized will help the relocation be less worrisome.

Now that you’ve selected the moving company that you want, you can simply make the schedule for the relocation. Now is the time you can start to ease up. You can know that you tried to prepare all that you could, to make the move go well for your child and yourself. A small child always has some special needs when moving, but preparing correctly will definitely make it simpler.

Helpful Secrets About Ionized Water

Health vs Acidosis

The purpose of this article is to provide Helpful Info About alkaline water

What you eat can be very hazardous to your health. What I mean is that our bodies were made to be slightly over 7.0 on the pH scale.

This scale goes from 1.0 (drain cleaner) to 7.0 (neutral) to 14.0 (oven cleaner). We should have a blood pH of about 7.35

So when we eat foods that are acid or turn acidic, when consumed, our system has to quickly give us an “anti-acid pill” in the form of robbing some alkaline compound from our body to counter this “acid bomb” we just dropped on our system.

This condition of diet caused, over-acidity, when on a constant basis, can cause a lot of health issues, some sooner and some later.

Hang in there with me, while I list just a few conditions or problems that you might be waiting in your future or you might already have from being over-acidic.

Let’s start with a quote from Dr.Atkins of the Atkins Diet fame, about the “big four”. Dr. Atkins states, “Of all the major diseases, Diabetes, Arthritis, Hypertension, and Cancer, acidosis is present.”

The list of problems caused by eating a acid diet is almost endless and so long it could be boring, unless you are plagued by one or more these conditions. There is more information at ionized water

I personally suffered, “and I mean suffered” with a yeast skin rash of the groin area for 30 years. Some days I almost couldn’t walk it was so bloody and painful. 30 years of doctors prescribing powders, cremes, and ointments and not one thing helped! I was even seen by the Chief of Dermatology at a major Dallas, Texas hospital.

Then friend of mine looked into an alkaline diet to assist his fight with lung cancer. I was drinking his high pH water and with in 4 weeks my 30 year bloody rash was gone, never to return!!! Two weeks later my wife, looking in the refrigerator, said,” Mike, You aren’t drinking your glucosamine drink.” I hadn’t noticed that my arthritis pain, in my knees, had disappeared!

So there you have it, “That’s my story and I am sticking to it!” For me this has been a life changing find. Why the medical community does not know about this I don’t know. It is cheap compared to what I spent over 30 years..

I spent thousands of dollars on my rash and joint problems and the useless drugs were expensive and I had to quit one job because of the knees. My an alkaline diet the strongest and best on the market only cost $1995.00 That is not much compared to the doctor bills and the pharmacy costs. Once you see the effects of what an alkaline diet can do then you will experience it’s value. the whole family can benefit.

What I have done is to incorporate a alkaline diet along with drinking lots of this great tasting, filtered water. And I do like my mother said, “Michael, eat your vegetables”. Dark green vegetables are the most common alkaline foods. You don’t have to turn into a rabbit unless you have one of these chronic or life threatening diseases, then you better get all the acid out of your body.

The bad food guys are white rice, pasta, white bread, sugar, (I say, “If it’s white it ain’t right) also never drink any soda ever again!!It takes 20 cups of high pH water to neutralize the acid from one cup of soft drink, they are deadly! To find out more free information go to an alkaline diet

Most large organizations effectiveness depends on the competence of its middle management. They represent the connection between the upper reaches of the organization and the rank and file. Which Kind Of Surfaces Do You Require For Landscape Painting?

Published under Arts by writer. No Comments .

As far as easels go whatever you might decide upon make sure that it is definitely sturdy. The folding ones are a good choice to invest your money in. An easel is not really an essential item, but these can prove very useful if you need to move around. These you can take anywhere to suit your needs.

This gives you the freedom to head out to the countryside, town squares, gardens, parks, homes, etc., wherever you like. It offers you total freedom. In the past I have utilized an old school blackboard stand as a prop for my work. Even this is better than trying to work on a flat surface. I myself was lucky enough to pick up a second-hand easel, however this is not the best sort that can be purchased in art suppliers now. As a contemporary artist I like an easel that does not wobble!

Perhaps the best that can be got on the market today are the ones called “the radial”. These I believe will hold a painting up to 52 inches or the equivalent in centimetres high. Most likely these are the best you can get for use in your home. One only needs to see one to note that they are equally strong and firm.

Even once you have an easel you will still require something at hand to put your working tools on. At one time I used to use an old tea trolley which was useful, not only could you move it around to suit your needs, but I found that I could manage to get all my equipment on it. This saved time getting up and down for things. They are easy to pick up at car boot sales, local auctions, tip or antique shops.

A normal palette with a thumb hole is an absolute must have for your kit. Some people tend to use brown wood ones. To my mind I would always use the white trays, as with these they contrast your colours better. In fact, I find myself using glass and enamel plates or china saucers. A friend of mine, who is also a contemporary painter, mainly uses plain glass with white paper below it.

Surfaces to paint on will be varied. Different types seem more suitable according to your various times and needs. Money does not really come in to it. Many people prepare and stretch their own canvasses. Usually you find it is better to have several canvasses at hand. Although really you can use hardboard, canvas, plywood or many other backings for your work. The point to be clarified is, you need a different assortment of sizes and shapes.

If you usually only work on one painting at a time it does not matter, from my own experience I regularly have about three on the go at any one time. It is very annoying if you run out of surfaces to paint on when you are currently feeling creative.

This will hopefully give you an idea of what your requirements are. Once you have these you have to add brushes, palette knives, turps and turps substitute, drying and linseed oils plus maybe some other mediums. A household brush normally comes in handy together with the paints themselves and containers. Hope you will enjoy your creations.

Organization Change: The Blueprint

Published under Business by writer. No Comments .

A big piece of Engineered Organizational Change or EOC is referred to by the term Blueprint. The case for change represents why changes should occur in the business. To make use of acting terminology the blueprint is the script to be used to navigate organization change. A case for change is the line of reasoning being used to defend the proposed change. They call this portion of the case for change the business case. Another way to think of it is that this answers the inevitable question of, “Why should this happen?” It will, in most cases, handle explaining the incentives employees will take away from the change. It sets the objective of communicating the case for change to relevant parties. The blueprint should cover the goals for the initiative, the case for change, promote management walk-throughs, and communicate individual effects due to organization change.
