Another thing you might have on your mind when trying to decide whether or not to get paper or plastic in the line at the grocery is whether or not one kind will be easier to biodegrade once it is in a landfill, although research shows that neither biodegrades much faster than the other, so if you can get reusable bags, but if you have to choose, go with plastic, because it is better for the environment than paper.
